Pet food at Food Banks

Emergency parcels can include pet food

If you need short-term assistance in buying pet food, then we can recommend using a local Food Bank – they are not just for human food. They provide food parcels for those emergency times – perhaps you have a benefit delay, an unexpected bill, redundancy etc.

You will need to be referred by a professional such as a school, social worker, doctor, community adviser, local Council services or Citizens Advice Centre. Each area has their own system so please check on their websites (provided below).

Bath Foodbank

We have a regular partnership to provide cat and dog food to Bath Foodbank, who offer 3-day emergency packages.

You will need to be given a voucher to use at the Foodbank – to find out where to get a voucher please read more on their website.

Fair Frome food bank

We have just started to work with Fair Frome, so please speak to them about including pet food in your parcel if you need it as they may be able to help. Fair Frome provide 6-day emergency parcels.

You will need to be given a referral to use the Foodbank – to find out where to get a referral please read more on their website.

We are hoping to extend our assistance throughout our area, but for now, if these food banks do not cover where you live please still ask your local professional services as they could have some advice and other contacts.

The national RSPCA also have a list of food banks that offer pet food  LINK » Click here to view the map on their website.
